The Site

The proposed development site is located off Parkfield Road in Wolverhampton. It is on the corner of Birmingham New Road and adjacent to Dimmock Street.

The site was previously the Gills Meat Products site, an abattoir and meat packaging facility. The site ceased full operations in 2023.

Lidl has identified this site as a suitable location nearby to local residents and an opportunity to regenerate this site with a new foodstore which provides new jobs. The site would also include around 17 new homes in a sustainable location nearby to local services.
